UCSD Biochemical Genetics A Program in the Division of Genetics, Department of Pediatrics, University of California San Diego

There are two overlapping divisions of the present-day laboratory, arising from two traditions. 

• The William L. Nyhan Biochemical Genetics Laboratory conducts assays and research in inborn errors of metabolism in general..
• The Jerry A. Schneider Cystine Determination Laboratory conducts intracellular cystine assays and research endeavors focusing on cystinosis.
